Independent Tyre Tests

Independent Tyre Tests

At Goodyear, we frequently refer to independent testing bodies, magazines and auto clubs. We do this because our own engineers put Goodyear tyres through a rigorous 360° Quality Test approach, so we are always confident our tyres will perform well in independent tests too.

In fact, only recently we discovered Goodyear has won more all-season tyre tests than any other brand*.

Tyre Testing Criteria

Independent tyre testing bodies will test tyres for an average of 15 key performance criteria, typically including:

  • Wet handling & dry handling
  • Wet braking & dry braking
  • Wet & dry cornering grip
  • Durability
  • Fuel efficiency
  • Internal cabin noise
  • Aquaplaning
