Many French transport fleets rely on Vulco for their Goodyear tyre needs and, according to General Manager Stéphane Haug, this relationship is built on an expectation of quality.

Vulco has been in business for 25 years and the majority of its outlets are officially accredited members of the TruckForce network – and this is what drives the quality. Haug explains: “The main advantage of being part of the TruckForce network is that it is a guarantee to all customers that we have the highest levels of knowledge and experience when it comes to advising on Goodyear tyres.”

Retailers such as Vulco are regularly audited to ensure that staff have the right expertise and undergo training if necessary. In addition, TruckForce accredited centers always carry certain levels of stock, so customers know that their requirements can be met promptly, thus preventing downtime and keeping their trucks on the road. Michael Menut, Director of Truck Services understands how important this is to customers: “The TruckForce accreditation ensures we have the right people, the right stock and the right technical equipment at all times. This makes a big difference to customers.”

 

But these audits shouldn’t be seen as a way of checking up on dealers. In fact, Menut welcomes the close relationship with Goodyear: “The collaboration with Goodyear and its sales force in particular is very important to us. We have a common goal, which is to support our customers, and it is in everyone’s interests to take a common approach to quality standards.”

Nor is the relationship just about tyres. Goodyear’s Total Mobility concept is key to many Vulco customers and Vulco staff knows the wider challenges the fleet face and how the Goodyear portfolio of products and services supports their needs. Jean-Michel Vivier, Manager of TruckForce of Goodyear France explains “In addition to tyres, we have helped customers to leverage the benefits of other solutions such as TPMS, which ensures tyres are always at optimum pressure. TruckForce refers to this as a 360º view of customer needs, and we are delighted to support them in delivering that.”
