At Goodyear we frequently refer to independent testing bodies, magazines and auto clubs.

They independently test tyres for an average of 15 key performance criteria, typically including:

  • Wet and dry handling and braking
  • Cornering grip
  • Durability
  • Fuel consumption
  • Internal noise
  • Aquaplaning

ÖAMTC (Der Österreichische Automobil-, Motorrad- und Touring Club)

The Austrian Automobile, Motorcycle and Touring Club was founded in 1896 and is an independent, not-for-profit organisation.

Stiftung Warentest

This is a consumer foundation, based in Germany and dedicated to providing unbiased advice on all types of products. Their ratings have a tremendous influence on consumer purchases across Europe.

Test World

Based in Lapland, Finland, this independent organisation specialises in winter tyre and car testing under winter conditions.

EU Standardised tyre label

EU Tyre Label ratings evaluate a tyre based on three performance characteristics: fuel efficiency, wet grip and noise.
