Up to 20% longer tyre life with Goodyear KMAX

Stavebná Mechanizácia s.r.o. manages a national and international fleet that includes various categories of special construction machinery, while providing special transport services and repairs. Knowing which tyres will get the job done isn’t just a service for their customers; it is the foundation upon which their reputation is built.

“It became clear that our previous tyre supplier was damaging our reputation and eroding customer trust,” said Transport Manager Silvester Vlček. “It was necessary to react quickly and find a solution that would minimise the impact, which was solved by purchasing Goodyear tires.”

Managing tyre complaints and service gaps

Explaining how the collaboration came about, Vlček tells us, “we decided to cooperate with Goodyear 10 years ago, after a successful test of the KMAX range, and we have been very satisfied so far.

 

Alongside a successful test of KMAX tyres, Vlček and his team were impressed with the comprehensive service network that Goodyear provides, which filled a service gap. “We had to improve the measurement and inspection of our vehicles. We are happy to use the service network of Goodyear partners,” explains Vlček.

Driving results in numbers

The impact on Stavebná Mechanizácia's business has been profound. “We recorded up to 20% less tyre damage in just one to two years compared to the period before cooperation with Goodyear,” Vlček explains. “Not only that, but we save up to 15% on downtime, service interruptions, and other issues associated with frequent tire damage,” he adds. 

 

The result is improved customer relations. “Our credit has increased with customers,” says Vlček. “Goodyear tyres are reliable, we have less damage and downtime.”

 

Benefits that go beyond tyres

In addition to extended tyre life and ongoing support, the Slovakian fleet also enjoys other perks of partnering with Goodyear. “We benefit from the marketing initiatives offered by Goodyear, which save us money,” explains Vlček. “We participated in the 2024 Goodyear Spring and Autumn sell-out campaigns,” says  Vlček. “This helpful initiative allowed us to claim back a significant amount on our tyre purchases.”

A strong partnership built for the future

Looking ahead, Stavebná mechanizácia has plans to further leverage Goodyear services to extend its trusted relationship with its customers. “We would like to learn more about the Tyres-as-a-Service (TaaS) offering, " concludes Vlček. “This service could further improve the efficiency and safety of our fleet, which is key for us.”
