REMATRANS, s.r.o. is a family-run Slovakian company with over 27 years of national and international experience managing a fleet of 35 vehicles. They faced a significant challenge with tyre longevity, which impacted their operational efficiency and cost. After owner and manager Ján Majančik began working with Goodyear, the results have changed positively. 

Overcoming mileage limitations

The solution for REMATRANS was Goodyear KMAX tyres. After testing many premium and budget options, the high-mileage tyre from Goodyear came out on top. 

As Ján Majančik explains, "Before KMAX, we found that we were only able to drive up to 100,000 km, which was a big challenge for us and meant that we needed to seek different suppliers."

In the search to find the right tyres for his fleet, Majančik was able to compare and contrast the performance and reliability of many different options: “We know which tyres are efficient, last longer and save us fuel,” he said. “Goodyear tyres have proven themselves in this regard.”

To address this challenge, REMATRANS made the strategic decision to switch to Goodyear KMAX tyres for their long-haul vehicles, achieving a 50% increase in tyre life. “We do long-distance deliveries. The most common countries are Italy, Austria and Hungary. Goodyear premium tyres are ideal for these distances, “ said Majančik.  "This difference clearly shows how important choosing the right tires is for us".

 

Beyond just mileage, the KMAX improvement translated into tangible benefits for the business: “Goodyear premium tyres allowed us to reduce maintenance and tire replacement costs, increase operational efficiency and ensure that our vehicles run smoothly for longer", added Majančik.

A deeper tyre tread

Majančik credits the deep tyre grooves of KMAX as the reason for the extended tyre life. “Thanks to the deep tread pattern, the Goodyear tyres we now use last longer.”

 

Majančik also highlights the need to find the tyres that fit the needs of the fleet. “When delivering to construction sites and similar locations, tires are exposed to significant wear and tear, the fleet owner says. “It is crucial for us to choose strong and durable tires that can handle the demanding conditions and ensure the reliable operation of our vehicles.”
