EU tire label: Overview

The new EU tire label is designed to help commercial vehicle operators make an informed choice when buying new tires. Since 1st November 2012, each new truck tire in Europe is accompanied by ratings for fuel efficiency, wet grip and noise emissions. Explore the links below to find out more.

Fuel Efficiency

Fuel Efficiency

A measure of the tire’s rolling resistance, which has a direct impact on fuel consumption. Rated from A (highest rating) to F (lowest rating).

Wet Grip

A measure of the tire’s braking ability on wet roads. Rated from A (highest rating) to F (lowest rating).

A measure of the external noise generated by the tire, in decibels. The black sound waves indicate the noise class of the tire, from 1 (quiet) to 3 (loud).

Where can I find the EU tire ratings?

Tire dealers must provide EU tire ratings to buyers at the time of purchase, by including the information on the receipt or on a separate note.

EU ratings are also displayed for each tire on our website.
