Goodyear FUELMAX S
  1. 1. IntelliMax Groove Technology

Optimised rolling resistance during tyre wear

  2. 2. High Net to Gross to optimise wearable rubber volume with reduced tread depth

    Improved rolling resistance and mileage

  3. 3. Optimised Cavity shape

Excellent compromise for rolling resistance, mileage and handling

  4. 4. Optimised blade angles

Rolling resistance and wet grip enhancement

  5. 5. Edge blades

    Improved wet grip

*Comparative tests made by Goodyear GIC*L on size 315/70R22.5 show that new Goodyear FUELMAX S and FUELMAX D steer and drive tyres offer an improvement in rolling resistance of up to 6% and 10% respectively vs. Goodyear Marathon LHS II + and LHD II + tyres.

IntelliMax Groove Technology

The new FUELMAX S sees the introduction of the latest FUELMAX Technology, which presents in tread design IntelliMax Groove Technology providing enhanced rolling resistance compared to its predecessors. A special manufacturing technique allows a hidden pattern to be molded into the tyre.

The 3 hidden raindrop grooves close when rolling through the footprint. The ribs support each other stiffening the tread. When 50% worn the IntelliMax grooves open. Because the tread depth is lower the rib movement is lower and does not need the support of the closed IntelliMax grooves.
