At Goodyear EMEA* we recognize that we are more than just a business; we are part of a global community. We operate with integrity and accountability and we have a strong commitment to do business in a way that respects, protects and benefits our various stakeholders. This pledge forms the foundation of our relationship with each other and our stakeholders.
Our commitment to wellness and safety extends not only to our employees but also to our communities, and the environment. Our aim is to be an active and responsible member of the communities in which we operate and a responsible global citizen that contributes to a sustainable future for our industry and our planet. Focusing on safety, children and families, education and health services, Goodyear's long history of corporate philanthropy, outreach and sponsorship continues to reflect our corporate values. We support our local communities and address basic needs through many regional outreach programs.
Across EMEA our local teams are involved in a wide variety of road safety and sustainable initiatives.
The Goodyear Highway Hero Award was established in 1983 in the US and now runs in different countries across the globe including Germany to honor truck drivers who put themselves in harm’s way to help others.
In Central Europe our teams worked closely together with kindergartens to educate in a responsible and fun way small children on the importance of being visible in traffic.
Poland, Germany and UK are very active to reminding parents that they are a role model for novice drivers and that they have an important role in contributing to the road safety of their children at every age. Their driving behaviours will impact the driving behavior of young drivers as they learn a lot about road safety and potential bad habits sitting at the back seat.
