GOODYEAR OPENS ITS DOORS DURING THE HOLIDAYS
Local tyre manufacturer, Goodyear South Africa, opened its factory doors in Uitenhage to family members of its employees during the past school holidays, to come and experience the tyre manufacturing process first hand.
Family members undertook guided tours and witnessed the manufacturing process, from the mixing of raw materials through to the final product, ready to be shipped to clients. After completion of the tour, visitors were surprised with Goodyear gifts and refreshments.
“We wanted to give our employee families the opportunity to learn more about Goodyear and share the interesting world of tyre manufacturing with the broader community. The tours were a huge success and we plan on doing tours again in the near future”, says Goodyear South Africa Human Resources Manager, Tascha Olivier.
