With the new stud-less Goodyear UltraGrip Ice+ tire, the most extreme winter conditions can be faced with more confidence. Innovative ActiveGrip technology ensures optimized contact with extremely slippery road surfaces, delivering leading performance on ice. UltraGrip Ice+ provides excellent performance in all Nordic circumstances, from compacted snow to slippery ice. From now on, drivers facing unexpected changes in weather or road conditions can rely on having more control with UltraGrip Ice+.
The design of the new Goodyear UltraGrip Ice Plus, featuring ActiveGrip Technology, answers the need for a stud-less winter tire; providing drivers with the benefits they need for driving in Nordic winter conditions.
Independent performance tests against 3 leading competitor winter tires run by Test World, the international independent testing organization, delivered impressive results:

Hybrid sipes functioning together with a dual cap compound to enable optimized contact with extremely slippery road surfaces, providing improved ice performance.
The dual cap compound is comprised of two layers; a soft ice compound top layer, designed to provide excellent grip and traction in extremely low temperatures. The base layer of a harder ice compound, provides good dry handling performance at higher temperatures.

These sipes being a combination of waffle and zigzag sipes, have been designed to maintain longitudinal tread stiffness over the entire tread depth. This provides optimal grip on snow and ice throughout the full tire life.
