Goodyear Dunlop United Kingdom has announced the appointment of Wim Reijmerink to the role of Director, Commercial Strategic Business Unit (SBU), UK. This new role has overall responsibility for the commercial business of Goodyear Dunlop and takes effect from February 1st.

He joined Dunlop in 1993 after 15 years with Michelin. Wim, 50, is married with two daughters, and will be moving to the UK very shortly. Wim commented: "Goodyear and Dunlop are two leading brands in the UK commercial tire market and I am excited about the opportunities we have to develop these brands in a very competitive market. The recent launch of Truck Force, the pan-european truck tire service network, has given Goodyear Dunlop a unique opportunity to establish themselves as a leading provider of fleet solutions to the commercial vehicle market" "Goodyear or Dunlop tires are fitted to one in four commercial vehicles in the UK, and with Truck Force we will offer a first class service proposition to our new and existing fleet customers" added Wim. Wim will report to Andreas Niegsch, General Manager, UK, and functionally to Henry Johnson, Managing Director, Truck tires, Europe. The Goodyear and Dunlop Commercial Vehicle Sales and Marketing teams, headed by Richard Lyons and Ian Morgan respectively, will now report in to Wim. Andreas Niegsch stated: "There are over half a million trucks on the UK roads, and with nearly 50,000 new commercial vehicles registered every year this is a major business sector for Goodyear Dunlop. I am delighted that Wim is joining the UK team in driving the business forward in this vital market" Ends For further information contact: James Bailey Manager, Corporate Communications Goodyear Dunlop UK, TyreFort 88-98 Wingfoot Way Birmingham, UK Tel: 0121 306 6328 Or: 07770 682413 Mobile
